March Break & Summer Camp

About our Camp:

The camp begins at 8 am with the children starting off with morning chores. They will be split into groups of 2-3, where they will be tasked with cleaning the stall, adding bedding and rinsing/ topping up the water.

After morning chores we will have a snack break. This is usually from 9:30-10:00 am.

At which point we will separate into two groups. Group 1 will be riding and Group 2 will be entering the creative portion of camp; it ranges from a craft, hiking, and horse theory etc.

Lunch will range from 12-12:30 to 1-1:30, respectively. The groups will then switch off beginning their afternoon.

Depending on time, we may break for snack again at 2:30-3:00 but this doesn't always occur. If we happen to break for snack, the children will resume an outdoor activity until pick up at 4pm.

We lightly structure the programs and activities. However, we may do groundwork, have special guests or play games all as a group. It may alter our routine slightly. We make sure the children ride at least once a day.

Each day can be different but this is a basic outline of a "typical" day at camp.

Do I need to pack a lunch for my child?

Yes, we have decided its best for parents to provide lunches for their children.

Water will be available.

Can children bring cellphones to camp?

We prefer you leave the phones at home. All staff at the camp have phones on them. Perfect for taking photos of your child's first ride or reaching you if your child isn't feeling well. We like the children to have a distraction free environment.

Does my child need their own helmet?

No, we have helmets to use at no fee! Unlike most farms around, we feel like you should not put a price tag on children's safety. Of course, it is nice to have your own helmet... but certainly not mandatory.

Will my child ride the same horse in camp each day?

We pride ourselves on having lots of horses to ride and learn from. Your child may have one they love; but we try to switch up the horses often!

Before and Aftercare?

Yes! you can drop off you child early or pick up late.. Extra charges will be applied on a case by case basis.

What does my child need to bring with them?

Snacks, lunch and more snacks.. We find the kids run out of food during the day. If you think you packed enough, add 2 more.

They will also need, shoes with a heel (rain boots, hiking boots), weather appropriate clothing. extra socks, running shoes, sun screen bug spray and a smile.

How do we register?

All we need is your email address. We use Docusign to house all our important forms. It makes signing and sending back a breeze!

Payment Methods?

We require payment at the time of registration. Either by e- transfer or cheque.
